Rumor has it…

…that FILIPINOS steal money.

Of course not ALL Filipinos… Just the ones that work at Empire, right?

RACIST ASSHOLES.

Three guys get sacked for stealing money, and “we” all become thieves.

So if being racist is the game… I should play too.

.. So if one “white person” can’t clean for shit, “you all” can’t.

.. If another “white person” is extremely lazy, “you all” are.

.. A “white person” takes money from behind the tills at night, and “you all” just laugh about it, “you” must all be hypocrites.

Realistically, however, I wouldn’t play that game because I wasn’t brought-up that way and I don’t think that way.

Theft of money doesn’t seem to be a new thing at GP, because word is, is that an individual of the “caucasian” race used to get away with stealing amounts in the 3-digit range on nights they would work a till. It doesn’t seem to be a big deal. More of a laughing matter, as I was told. Once a filipino steals, it becomes a huge deal, and then all of a sudden all filipinos in the workplace are assumed to be thieves.

It kind of makes you think…

If theft was going on for years before these three individuals even started working there, why so keen all of a sudden on taking protocol? I hope its not because they’re not “white” and all belong to the same “minority”. I also hope its not because some may be covering their own activities of theft, by emphasizing blame and all activity on the “minority”. Check your cameras, carefully. A “white” person has been seen with a pen in their till to keep it open on many occasions.

Don’t get me wrong, though. Theft is wrong and those who commit the crime, should do the time. Theft is theft, no matter what “colour” you are. Its bad, and that’s that. Karma’s a bitch, don’t you know?! Work for your money, dumbass.

But seriously, to those of you who are passing judgement on filipinos…

Get out of your fucked up, little, racist shells.

*you know you’re guilty..

“Don’t send her back to the Box Office, she’ll steal money”

- a joke that was said by someone who i’ve heard, stole from the theatre on several occasions before. This was after a manager told me to go back to the box office once I was done helping clean.

“Why is she scared? Does she think she’s gonna be next?”

- a comment that was said the night when the three individuals got questioned by Loss Prevention, after I stated that my younger sister was worried. Worried because she didn’t want to close the concession on her own, NOT BECAUSE SHE STEALS.

“Don’t go near my til, you’re filipino”

- a “harmless” joke, at the time.. but it was still insensitive, especially after recent events.

I was not brought-up to be a thief, and I believe in karma.

End of story.
